Blood Roses okay guys, spill it. why so much distaste for Blood Roses? i'd like to hear opinions before I go into my rant about how fantastic a song it is. :D

I've now gotten it, but it was hard for me before. I think the harpsichord threw me off at first (but now I love it!) And it was just so emotionally powerful, it kind of drains me when I hear it.

After having read Possessing the Secret of Joy this song has SO much more passion to it for me. It was one of my favorites before because the emotion is just so raw and biting but now I can't even put words to how much I love it. There was an extremely in depth and intellectual conversation about this song on the yessaid phorums and I wish I would've saved them because I will never be able to get that in depth with this song on my own but it is just so powerful. Tori described it as the song that kicks off the war in Pele. I completely agree. It's an awakening. It's the "holy shit, this is what i'm allowing to happen to myself?" moment.

i think this cd is slowly changing mine as well. Blood Roses and Talula are two of my best song friends, they got me through the last 4 months of my job.
