Halloween Costumes
Ok, I love Halloween, but I am terrible with costumes! I used to be good...when I was a kid I had some good ones. The best was definitely when I was in 7th grade and my friend and I decided to be flamingos. We cut out cardboard wings and used yarn to loop them over our arms, we rolled up heavy-duty paper and painted it pink for the neck and then pasted paper eyes we drew and a styrofoam beak (which we made from taking a heart and cutting it in half) onto a pink balloon and placing the balloon on top of the "neck". It was awesome. Except that the balloons had problems staying on the neck and we spent a good deal of time running after them. (Why can't my balloon stay up in a perfectly windy sky?) So I don't know if I'm going to dress up or not this year, but what are some cool costume ideas? What costumes are you particularly proud of? What are your general feelings about Halloween? Tell me about your childhood...wait, sorry, my inner Freud just slipped out. :) (Freudian slip, as it were! HA!) Ok, well, obviously I've said (written) too much. Hellooooo Cloud. How are you? It's nice to see you here :wink: I love Holloween. It's my favorite holiday. I always dress up and either go out to party or just stay home and pass the sweets & treats to the kiddies. My dad and I get together on the first of every October to decorate the house. It's sooo much fun. Your Flamingo costume sounds like a fun idea. You're very creative, w/ making the cotume and all. I really don't have any ideas as to what to go as this year. I haven't even decided what i'm doing. I'm going to a Gwen concert in Boston on Holloween so maybe i'll dress like a Harajuku girl or something freaky like that. I love Japanese style and would like to do something involving that. Well good luck w/ your costume, and have lots of fun. :)
