How's the new term going?

How's the new term going?
I know that many people here are in education in one form or another - just wondered how the new term was going and is there anything people want to whine or shout about? Also to those doing A levels please don't panic the first term is the worst and it will get easier.....

Today was my first day back at school. It was only orientation, so it was only a half day. We first got free hot dogs, chips and drinks, and then we went to our homeroom advisors. My homeroom was the computer lab. I guess they ran out of classrooms. Anyways, my advisor is a tight ass and told me to put my "food away" because we were in the computer lab, even when they gave us the food 5 minutes beforehand. I'm sure I would be able to chug a bottle of Coke, eat a bag of chips, gulf down my hot dog, and make it to class on time in 5 minutes. When I wouldn't, he started yelling at me and grabbed my food and threw it in the garbage. Good thing it was free, or I'd bitch back at him. Anyways, the advisor was telling us all this shit we already knew since kindergarden, and I got bored so I started playing on the computer. When that was over, my friends and I ditched the assembly and walked home. What a boring day.

i wish i was back in school. :cry: i miss it...oddly enough.

Things here are going okay. Its my first year in college (i took a few years off after high school as i moved around a lot and am finally settled for a little while) Its my third week, nothing to major happening yet. First -*test*-('") on Friday, a little nervous, but Ive been keeping up with my studies so Im not that worried about it. My English teacher is a bore and has absolutely no idea what she is doing (which she makes painfully obvious) and I'm definitely missing the passionate English teachers that I had all throughout high school. All the rest of my teachers seem to be alright though. The whole social aspect is still beyond me, but I'm completely socially awkward and lacking in the confidence department. So, yeah, hoorah for school (kind of, haha)!

shitttttay. I"ve been in school for like three weeks. Each day sucks more than the last lol. (I have a bad lunch shift... no friends lol)

I'm a junior in college. School has been great until now. The COE (college of education) is a nightmare! The amount of work to do is beyond measure (I really should be doing homework now) but, I use this board to relax, regroup, and unwind, then I return the the WORK! This semester will be challenging but I will just keep plugging away until I get that degree! PS ~ I also take sign language, which I love! Tomorrow morning I'll be getting some school based hours in at an elementary school that has a FANTASTIC Deaf education program. I'm looking forward to it.

But it's cool that he's from our generation. Makes him (like us) more open to everything new, moreso than some adults (some, not all of course. Everyone here is great 8) )

I miss school too Nikki! The real world sucks ass. Working is a bitch. Can't wait for grad school.
