OK, I have a Quest for Everybody
I was recently proposed to (last Friday hooray for me!) and I am trying to think of good songs to play at the reception. This means Tori or non-Tori. I am not following a lovey dovey theme but no real sad sings. Can anybody think of any???? I'll give you some on my list so you know what I'm thinking: Fool in the Rain- Led Zeppelin Angel: Sarah McLauchlin (its our song) American Girl: Tom Petty The nurse who loved me: (The Perfect Circle one... my mom is a nurse) Hey Yeah- Outkast (its fun,OK...) Somwhere Over the Rainbow You are my Sunshine (We're from Louisiana and its our state song... and its a good little ditty) Ireland: Tori Amos (only T.A. song my man really likes) What a Wonderful World Blueberry Hill Crimson and Clover Crazy- Patsy Cline (I love her) Wish you were here (Pink Floyd) Unchained Melody and of course... Lets Get it on I know this is pretty diverse... if anybody else can give any other suggestions I would give you a great bug internet hug!!!!

Congratulations!! can't think of many songs right now... but if you take the cover-version of somewhere over the rainbow (by tori ofcourse) then you will have at least 2 tori songs! (+ Ireland) :D and cornflake girl might be a good option...? I'm really happy for you! Enjoy it! :) xxx Elfje

Hey congratulations! I like the idea of Cornflake girl...always a fun one! As for other songs, I guess it all depends on the mood you're going for. Get the remix version of Raspberry Swirl, that'll be a fun one to dance to. My cousin actually played it at her wedding. Peolpe had a blast with it.

Yay, congradulations. (how's your ring?, is it beautiful?) Not that that's the most important thing... Anyways, I love 'Love Song' By either Tori or The Cure. I will play that at my wedding if I ever get hitched. Also, 'Still the one' by Shania Twain - (I think that's the song title), It's the song that goes something like..."Looks like we made it, look how far we've come now baby, I'm glad we didn't listen, look at what we could of been missing"...You've heard it. It was overplayed back in '02 or '03, i'm not too sure but my Aunt played it at her reception and everyone was into it. Well I can't really think of any others at the moment but if I do, I'll let you know. Again, congradulations and good luck. :) :D :) :D

Congrats! I just got married in April and I'm trying to remember what we played at our reception...I had such a great time, but I'm drawing a blank on actual songs. I chose Ribbons Undone for the father/daughter dance. I was having such a hard time thinking of a song to do together, and I had to get the sheet in to the DJ and then the Beekeeper came out and I heard that song and thought PERFECT! It was great. Um, You Shook Me All Night Long is fun. My husband and I joke that that's our song (AC/DC was one of the first bands we discovered we had in common). He even came out and danced with me for that song, and he HATES to dance. Tom Petty is great in general and same with Bruce Springsteen. Oh my gosh, my brother was tearing up the dance floor with his Bruce impression. I'm partial to Elvis, so of course there's Can't Help Falling in Love for a slow song or Jailhouse Rock for fun Anyway, just have fun. If you have a decent DJ, they'll pick good songs. Our DJ was WONDERFUL. Everyone thought he did a fantastic job. Congrats again!!

Hey guys! Thanks for all the congrats. We've been together for over 4 years now, it will be 5 by the time the big day hits. I'm 22 (I'll be 23) and he'll be 30 (almost 31) so he's been waiting for me to be ready. I know I'm still young but I know I want to be with him for-e-ver. We are so ready. I thought of Elvis too but I couldn't think of the one I wanted. I was thinking "It's now or never" because thats a good one and its fun. There are so many other things to think about I don't know where to begin! Music is so important to both of us but we have quite different tastes. He's a VERY METAL listener but I won't have it played at my wedding except for Maybe Tori's Raining Blood! He loves Slayer and I love Tori so thats what I call a compromise! :P I'm a giddy little girl.

By the way.. My ring is a solitaire tear-drop cut in a white gold setting. He picked it all by himself and it is sooo me.

I like when guys can do that.. GOOD JOB!

That's pretty....good for you girl! Don't you love it when they don't require much direction!
