So... What Made You Fall In Love...
What was the first Tori song you heard that really made you go... "Wow" Or what song / album really made you a hardcore fan? I'm a n00b... I wasn't into her untill I heard " A Sorta Fairytale". Then of course I had to hear more.

well i have vague memories of watching the crucify video when i was younger but my "real" intro to tori was (i'm a bit embarassed by this) sleeps with butterflies. i felt so stupid for never listening to her before. i don't think i was allowed to though i remember having to sneak to listen to Jagged Little Pill back in the day. The song that made me go Wow was probably Spark.

I had heard Precious Things, Professional Widow, and Raspberry Swirl and just didn't like her. Then someone sent me "Happy Phantom" and it was my favourite song for the longest time.

I go way back to Silent All These Years. I was 15, heard it one day on the radio. I went out and bought Little Earthquakes that same day and have been hooked ever since. It really says something about Tori as an artist when people can still go back years back, albums back and still sing the songs and love them doesn't it?

I hadn't heard anything by tori till half a year or so ago. I rented LE in the library and listened to it beginning to end. So I have to say Crucify was my first song. The first 'WOW' song, I think, would be Spark.

Yay for Spark love! w00t!

Silent All These Years for me too. Heard it on the radio, loved the lyrics, adored the piano. Bought the CD and listened to it pretty much non-stop. The rest, as they say, is history!

Discovering Tori
I remember as a child hearing Spark on the radio. I liked that song so much even at the young age of eight but could never remember the words until this January. I found looked up Spark and realized that it was by the same artist who sang Cornflake Girl which was a song I had grown up listening to. The day I re-discovered Spark I went out and bought Choirgirl :)

Heard Little earthquakes at a friends and I was born again!

The first song of hers I heard was 'Caught A Lite Sneeze" The whole Pele album moved me. :P

I was seven and my mom was playing the song LITTLE EARTHQUAKES. I remember tht wel, cause we would clean while we listened to that and Les miserables, but anyway. I was trying to hold out the "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" but I was little so they were to long for my little breath. Then last year, after I got through some stuff, my mom was playing it in the car. I was like, "Tjis sounds familiar, who is it?" She said, "Tori Amos." I said, "Oh ya, I remember." Then she said, "She is singing about sexual abuse." Then the love affair started and here I am 14 and obsessed. GREAT STORY! Well...sort of, Precious

That IS a great story. My mom got me on Kate Bush, well not ON her...you know what I mean, do you?

I first heard Crucify on radio in 92. I remembered hearing the "chains" bit and thinking this is good and different. Then I forgot all about her. Then in 97 I was listening to a compliation album and found Cornflake Girl. I loved it! Also at that time Pro Widow Remix was no. 1 and I decided to investigate more. I bought Earthquakes and Pink and loved them. So I got Pele but found this hard going at first. But it grew on me and before I knew it Choirgirl was out and I was hooked!
