A Sorta Fairytale was my first Tori song...and it made me want to hear more.
Winter was the second one I heard and BLEW ME AWAY! That song made me a true Tori fan.

Hi, umm, I'm new here. But an old Tori fan...
I didn't know who she was AT ALL until people kept coming up to me...and I swear it...they'd say, "You look just like this singer..." I didn't see it at all and still don't, except for the hair. I've been dying it red for years...that and the Celtic/Cherokee blood...that's the only explanation I can find. :)
Anyway, it went from there. I wanted to know who this mysterious woman was. So I found this used copy of "From the Choirgirl Hotel". I still don't know why I picked that one over the others. But for the next few months it was the only thing I would listen to, day or night. It just felt like Tori was singing the mirror image of my soul. Spark is still my favorite song, period. Now I've got close to every song she's ever written and lots of her covers...and I'm totally obsessed. My only complaints with Tori have to be that she didn't come anywhere near Kansas City on her last tour and that she's not as angry as she used to be. :) But then again, motherhood will do that to you.
Anyway, my favorites, the songs that really speak to me, are the ones that mix her love of the spiritual with, well, good ole heresy. I understand it so well...I'm also the daughter of a Methodist minister and now I'm a Pagan, so I know the inner turmoil!
