The Smashing Pumpkins Appreciation Thread!
As some of you may or may not know (based on my avatar), I'm a huge Smashing Pumpkins fan. Anyways, there haven't been any discussions here about the band, and I don't blame you.. it's been 5 years since they last released something.. but either way, thought I'd make this thread because they kick serious ass. Right now, I have my Vieuphoria DVD on in the background and I'm listening to Quiet, Live in Atlanta. The performance is amazing. I love the track, and the energy of a Pumpkins live show is just.. wow. Other songs I love: Where Boys Fear to Tread - the riff is super easy to play, but sounds awesome Today - classic song, gotta love it Geek USA - one of the best guitar solos ever.. period.. amazing track Cherub Rock - same as above, as well, the acoustic version on Vieuphoria/ Earphoria kicks ass too Silverfuck - the riff is cool, when I first heard it I thought it was a joke cause it sounded so carnival-like, but it's awesome Tear - very melodic, when played live is absolutely amazing, cannot even compare to the studio version For Martha - such an emotional song, so sweet, so melodic, so awesome The Everlasting Gaze - cranked up loud, this song kicks incomprehensible amounts of ass Heavy Metal Machine - my friend's call it the "random noise song" because of the insane distortion and crazy effects, I call it a kick ass song Try Try Try - the alternate version off of Machina II is better, but still a great song, very smooth and melodic, flows well Daphne Descends - has a very full rock sound while maintaining a smooth melody, and the harmonies during the chorus are nice X.Y.U. - very simple song, but amazing, you gotta love it Jellybelly - for the metal head in all of us, probably one of the loudest Pumpkins songs, and I love it Hello Kitty Kat - again, very passive agressive and loud, amazing Sun - very simple riffs, but sounds awesome Anyways.. yea.. go Pumpkins. Anymore fans?

The Smashing Pumpkins ROCK. I loved them nack in 95-99. What ever happened to them? I know they broke up or something but what's going on with them now?
